After my dad went through some heart troubles and years of sleep deprivation I remember him saying, "the reaper doesn't come around and take you all at once. He has a scythe so he can take you piece by piece."
I was camping near the outskirts of some piece of crown land after a big fight with my girlfriend. I could hear a party down the road. I decided to go check that party out. Though, the closer I got, the more apparent it was to me, the sound of fun loving youths was actually the yelping of a rowdy pack of coyotes. I love that sound. I cried with them that night.
lyrics
I know I know I know
So dangerous but beautiful
I know I know (x2)
I used to follow you coyote
Just to listen to you wail
I used to figure you were used to being lonely
And I would stay out of your trail
I took some pocket change yeah
And paid to get this way
After all I’ve done my experience is all I could attain.
I know I know I know
So dangerous but beautiful
I know I know (x2)
Each one of these memories drags me closer to the edge
Each one of these lonely sleeps go by
A lot better since you left
Even absent my soul is selective and direct
When death come to collect lend him a leg before he takes your neck.
An education never meant me to awaken
A heavy lesson don’t prepare you for this no.
How about that howl you were waiting for
How about that sound heard in the park
Leading laughter from the dark
That you were waiting for.
I know I know I know
So dangerous but beautiful
I know I know (x4)
